World Travels

Friday is our day of rest (family day) in ZAGREB, after breakfast we role out our only map on the living room floor and pick an uncharted area of the city to explore. Camden particularly enjoys the rolling-out-the-map part of this weekly ritual and before long she is playing twister on the city grid, right foot on Prečko, left hand on Borongaj.

Our authentic public transportion passes:

Two weeks ago we pioneered (as far as we were concerned) the recreational park and swimming area known as Bundek. The facility just reopened to the public this spring boasting beautiful landscaping, walking paths, and picnic areas, along with the ultimate in playground apparatus.

It was a gorgeous September day and early enough in the weekend to afford us the luxury of a vacant picnic table for our bag lunches prepared by Susanna, the wonderful. The walking paths were wide-open but Camden had other paths in mind. She was proud to being pushing her baby-doll stroller just like Mommy does. This Friday we visited the Zagreb Zoo and hopefully will be able to post those pictures soon.

A girl on a Mission...

A Park near the Upper City that I wrote about in a previous post.

Frizerski (hair) Salons can be seen every ten meters along Ilicia, the main street running from our area to the city center, only Kavana's (cafe's) can be found in greater numbers. Of course, Susanna began to deliberate as to which salon she could trust with her head, not all of them speak English. After dodging in and out of a few of them and gathering critical information, the choices only became more difficult. A few days ago, a girl came walking by and Susanna loved her hair so she tracked her down and asked where she got it done. The girl understood English and just so happened to have the Business card in her pocket. Thus done, it was only a matter of days before Susanan found herself perched in the chair of a certain Petra to be transformed into true Croatian style.

I was more worried than she was, but the results are wonderful.

Yesterday, October 1st, we had a beautiful time at our Sunday morning Service as Susanna sang "Glory of the Blood" before the Greater Grace Church of Zagreb's first Communion. Eight croatians came with several unalbe to attend, and we worshipped the Lord. Together with the team there were 13 adults and two children in our assembly, God is doing marvelous things. In the photograph you can see Camden's head as she bolts up the aisle to share the stage with Mommy.

Keep us in your prayers and thank you all of those who have supported us financially, you make this possible for us. Please send us contact infomation so that we can keep in touch with you. Those who leave comments also make sure you leave a email address we can respond to. God Bless and we hope to hear from you soon!

Nan!!!!!! Your hair looks awesome!! That sleek Euro style!! You're gonna come back all stylish! I love it... If you see any clothes I might like... Yeah, I know it's expensive.
I can't believe how big Camden is getting. Those pix of her - aaaahhhh. She's way too cute. I can just picture her little fiesty self running around. I miss you so much. Especially at church when I look around and think "oh, yeah! They are in Croatia!" I miss it! It will be Christmas before you know it - this semester is just flying. I am moving into the dorm with Tammy Graff. That will be fun. Tomorrow I'm going to haul my boxes (once again!) over to the house and get situated. I am going to take some random pix of people in the church and send them to you. Well, it's time to get home (I'm in my office after class). I'm picking Belinda up for Biblical Psychology class in the am. Yeah!!! Love you guys soooooo much!! Oh yeah, Kelly was just up here for three days. She looks great and is doing great out in the woods. Does she this blog? Excerps from ABD tonight (P. Schaller)
How we believe must have definition. If not, it becomes very abstract and subjective. God has given us the mind of Christ. Who did Christ love before us? Himself - the Trinity (a ring). We are called into something bigger than ourselves. Christ became the man that lived on the earth with an eternal purpose - our example (Jn 3:13, Eph 2:6). We are seated in heavenly places and are members of His body. Colossians - Paul knew that they had to move from the attitude of from them, to them, and through them to from God, to God, and through God (like in eternity past). We are partaking of the fellowship of the Trinity. Paul wrote the Epistles on a deeper level than just trying not to sin. He wanted us to get a much deeper picture - how to have a new life! We walk worthy of the privilege. I have eternal life! There is harmony between my calling and my everyday life. Put on the sacred clothes. We walk in the dignity of our calling. This is what I believe and how I walk - according to what we have received. don't be sentimental of manipulated by other people. We are bearing fruit because it's our nature. Examples of fruit: Being a Godly person (Heb 12:11), attitude of love (Gal 5:22-23), giving money (Rom 15:26-28).
Evangelize - we are ministering with Godly communication and we are not driven (to win people) because we have PRAYER!!! God does the work. Longsuffering and patience with joy - From the Lord, to the Lord, and through the Lord. Can you keep going? Endurance - Faithfulness!!!! If I don't have a revelation of who I am, then I get frustrated. Just sit and relax and God will build you up in the inner man. We don't compare or measure.
Inheritance - Live an abundant life! We are to possess our possessions. Don't stay in the wilderness and complain, but go in and take the land! It's yours (I Cor. 3:11-15) He has qualified us and authorized us. We have been granted the privilege. Give thanks to God! You have been authorized by God. Walk worthy of your calling. He brought Heaven to us. We have His life imparted to us!!!

Enough???? Good stuff... Love you soooo much!!!

He will faithfully draw men unto Himself if we will but lift him up by faith. our job is to plant seeds and pick fruit, not to stamp on the ground and try to make it grow. Quotes from Bible school 1976-1979 Thanks for keeping us updated. Dad tang
